Privacy policy
In short: Remolo has no accounts, ads or trackers. At home the phone and Mac talk directly. Over the internet they go through a relay that only sees ciphertext. All we receive is what you choose to send: reports, crash reports with your consent, and your email if you leave it for the launch letter.

Who is responsible
Remolo is developed and sold by KIRIL TREITIAK. For anything about your data, write to hello@remolo.app.
What there is not
There are no accounts, ads or ad trackers, neither in the app nor on this site. We never sell or share data. The app’s settings have an “Anonymous statistics” switch, but today the app sends nothing through it. If that changes, we will update this page first.
What stays on your devices
- Your phone’s name and model, so the Mac can show who is connected.
- Encryption keys, and the list of trusted devices and guests.
- Your buttons, profiles, chains, button pictures and settings. They sync only between your phone and your Mac; widgets and the watch get them from your own iPhone.
At home and over the internet
At home the phone and Mac connect directly, without our servers. If you turn on access from anywhere (Pro), they can connect through the Remolo relay on Cloudflare. Everything is encrypted on your devices: the relay only passes ciphertext along, cannot read it and stores nothing. Like any server on the internet, it sees IP addresses during a connection. The “Mac status” widget asks the relay just one thing — whether the Mac is online right now. And once a day Remolo Helper checks remolo.app for a new version.
What the Mac and the phone see
The Mac carries out commands from the phone: cursor movement, clicks, keys, text. To show on the phone what is playing, the text of the active field, slide notes, the clipboard or the Mac’s screen (Pro), the Helper reads them locally and sends them, encrypted, only to your phone. Remolo never reads password fields, and anything password managers mark as concealed never leaves the Mac. Files move only between your Mac and your phone, when you pick them.
Guest access
If you give someone a guest link, the guest gets only what you ticked — trackpad and keyboard, slides, media or the Mac’s screen (off until you turn it on) — and only until the time is up. A guest never gets files, the clipboard, the terminal, button actions or scripts, your button profiles, the Mac’s battery and status, the text you type, or the address of your Mac’s own relay room. The Mac itself enforces these rules, and you can end access at any time. The secret of a guest link sits after the “#”, so our server never receives it.
“Something wrong?” reports
Reports are anonymous. Along with your text we receive a random installation ID (not linked to you or your Apple ID), the app’s language and technical details — version, device model, connection state, with no names or content. An email and a screenshot only if you add them yourself. Only the developer sees reports: they arrive in his Telegram. They are kept for 180 days; “Delete all my reports” in the app erases them from the server at once, or you can write to support@remolo.app.
The launch email
If you leave your email on this site, we keep only the address, the site language and a random key for the links in our emails, in a Cloudflare database. First you get an email with a Confirm button; unconfirmed addresses are deleted after 7 days. Then one email on the day Remolo arrives on the App Store, after which we delete the whole list. The emails are sent on our behalf by Resend, a US company, from its servers in Ireland. You can leave at any time with the link in every email, and the address is gone at once. We keep no IP address and no browser data.
Remolo Insider thanks
A name appears in the thanks list on this site only when an Insider types it in the app, and disappears as soon as it is removed. The list holds nothing else.
Crash reports
Only with your consent. On iPhone: “Ask”, “Always” or “Never” (“Ask” by default); on the Mac they are off until you turn them on. A report holds only technical data about the crash — version, model and stack trace — with no screen, text or files. It is kept for 90 days.
Purchases
Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details and do not know your Apple ID.
Children
Remolo is not meant for collecting children’s data and does not knowingly collect it.
Your rights
You can delete your reports in the app, remove your name from the thanks and turn off crash reports at any time. For anything else, write to hello@remolo.app and we will reply.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
